KYC/KYB Documentation Guide
What documents you need for identity and business verification.

This guide explains the identity verification (KYC) and business verification (KYB) documents EPG typically requires before providing services, and why Canadian MSB regulations require them.
Personal accounts (KYC)
Individual customers generally provide government-issued photo identification (such as a passport or driver’s licence) and proof of residential address. In some cases we verify identity through a credit bureau or by matching the information against trusted data sources, as permitted by Canadian law.
Business accounts (KYB)
Business customers provide incorporation or registration documents, details of beneficial owners and controllers, the nature of the business, and bank account verification. Enhanced due diligence may apply to higher-risk businesses, ownership structures, or jurisdictions.
Source of funds and purpose
For many transactions we ask for the source of funds and the purpose of the payment. This is a standard AML/ATF requirement for MSBs, not a judgement about you or your business, and helps deter illicit finance.
